Bumala Sponsored Walk 2008
Anne from The Bumala Trust would like to thank all those who supported our sponsored walk and all the people who so generously put money in our collecting tins while walking from The Babbacombe Inn Torquay to The Pier Inn Paignton. A total of £410 was raised from the collection. Wendy and Henry our two Panda's enjoyed their freedom and walked the whole way with our party of 20 volunteers. We expect our final total once all sponsor and raffle sales collected to be in excess of £1000, this money will be spent on our Dairy cow project which will provide our orphans and widows in Bumala Kenya with fresh milk and fertilizer for the vegetable and fruit garden. Finally a big thank you Peter and Janet Weyama who put all their love hard work and dedication caring for the poor in their community of Bumala and inspiring us all to help those families to become self- sufficient.
